Do Black Greek Fraternities and Sororities have mascots?

When Loren Moore Studios first decided to create Black Greek art work for all of the Black Greek organizations out there, I started by creating art work that displayed the organizations "mascot". But to my dismay, a few of the Black Greek organization headquarters had a problem with it and told me that I could not create artwork that displayed Black Greek letters on animals because Black Greek organizations don't have mascots. I have recently submitted sketches of bust and sculptures to Omega Psi Phi and they seemed to be okay with it. As a non-greek, I would like to know how you guys feel about this? Although I do see images, t-shirts and all other types of items displaying these "mascots", I was thrown back a bit by the headquarters feedback on the matter. How do you guys feel about the whole "mascot" situation?
